With catastrophic injuries, the goals are to improve the individual’s quality of life, maximize independence and facilitate the appropriate expenditure of rehabilitation dollars. Projections for future medical needs and costs are developed as required. RSVP, Inc. Nurses will follow the individual through treatment and assist with budgeting for ongoing medical expenses.
Patients who meet the Catastrophic Case Management definition may have any one or a mix of the following conditions (including, but not limited to):
Acute Multi Trauma
Cancer
Organ Transplant
Stroke
Spinal Cord Injury
Head Injury (Acquired Brain Injury, Traumatic Brain Injury)
HIV
Amputation
Diabetes
COPD
Burns
Wounds
